ORA Istanbul Theme Park

The ORA Theme Park is a children’s indoor and outdoor theme park under construction in Istanbul, Turkey as part of a multi-faceted leisure and retail project. The Turkish project consists of Istanbul and Turkey’s first theme park, a major retail mall, large screen cinema complex and Turkey’s largest performing arts and concert arena. ITPS has been selected by ORA Istanbul to provide the following services: Feasibility Study, Design Review, Ride and Attraction Procurement, Pre-Opening Operating Services and Long-Term On-Site Management. The park is scheduled to open in 2010.

Wonderworld Theme Park Ltd., a Cyprus corporation has contracted International Theme Park Services, Inc. to provide the following services: Concept and Design, Pre-Opening Operations Services, Corporate Sponsorship Acquisition, and On-Site Management.

Netpark
Istanbul, Turkey

In 1987, ITPS was awarded the building and management contract to develop a tract of 120 hectares (approximately 296 acres) of land in the Sariyer District to the northwest of Istanbul known as Tarabya. This development will include a themed attraction park as well as development of the peripheral area to accommodate a retail and entertainment village, resort hotel complex, commercial center, hospital and private club.

ITPS was contracted as the Design Coordinator for the project team, and the Operational Planning Consultant for site development. ITPS was to be the general conduit between the owner, architect and designer while at the same time providing operational guidance and direction. In this scope of service, ITPS was to oversee the bidding and awarding process of major rides and attractions.

In addition to the above, ITPS provided consultation to Netpark on a variety of other leisure endeavors in Istanbul. These planned projects offer a diversity of opportunities:

An arcade center to be located in the downtown shopping area. ITPS provided assistance in design and equipment selection.
A 1.5 acre, two-story building containing an arcade, a restaurant and fast food locations, a movie theater, entertainment areas / events and a bowling alley. ITPS provided assistance in design, equipment selection, equipment procurement, planning strategies and interior games layout. ITPS also provided on-site assistance in the areas of employee recruitment, employee selection, implementation of policies and procedures, manual development, as well as daily operation of the games / arcade division.
A 1,500,000 square foot shopping and leisure center complex to include a shopping mall, hypermarket, department store, a health center and a 220,000 square foot entertainment center.
