
Mr. Kahn is a highly experienced entertainment and corporate
revitalization executive, with a professional career spanning 25
years in leadership positions. Mr. Kahn serves as the New York based
strategic advisor to International Theme Park Services, Inc. ITPS’
relationship with Mr. Kahn spans over two decades.
Additionally, Mr. Kahn is president and founder of Marketing Solutions Network,
a diversified marketing and turn-around management consultancy.
The Company serves and has served a broad array of clients in
entertainment, direct marketing, retail, manufacturing, services, associations,
government, and not-for-profits.
Mr. Kahn served as Senior Vice President and General
Manager of Auto & Leisure products for Cendant Corporation.
At Cendant he successfully led the turn-around of a group of
direct marketing businesses serving over two million consumers,
producing $125 million in revenues, and $25 million in EBITDA.
He served as Vice President of U.S. Sales for LIVENT, then
North America’s largest and fastest growing producer of live
entertainment. The Company’s shows
and touring productions included Ragtime, Showboat, and Fosse.
Mr. Kahn held a number of increasingly responsible management positions at Madison Square
Garden, the world’s most
famous arena. As Vice President of
Sales, he led sales teams that produced unprecedented sell-outs for the Knicks
and Rangers, as well as quadrupling group sales.
Mr. Kahn led the creation of The Garden’s highly successful Special
Events business; marketing, renting the facility, producing, and providing
catering for large scale special events.
His career began at Astroland
Amusement Park in Coney Island,
where he served as Vice President, while also managing Howard Kahn & Associates,
Inc., an advertising and marketing concern.
Mr. Kahn served on the Board of Directors of the International
Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, where he chaired the Public
Relations Committee, and received the annual service award for the most valuable
service to the industry by an individual.
He was President of the New York Parks & Attractions Association, where
he worked with legislators and lobbyists on ride safety and taxation
legislation.
Recently, he served as chair of the Forensic Audit Committee for the Roslyn
Public Schools, after it was the victim of a multi-million dollar fraud and
defalcation. He also serves on the
Board of Trustees of Temple Beth Sholom.
Mr. Kahn holds an M.B.A. degree from
Hofstra
University.
At Hofstra he chairs and founded the M.B.A. Alumni Group, co-chairs the
Frank G. Zarb School of Business Alumni Association, and serves on the Dean’s
Strategic Partnership Board. He also
holds a B.A. from Harpur College
at the State University of New York at
Binghamton
where he majored in Political Science and Management.
